During winter the village transforms into something from a fairy tale with a blanket of white, there are still the stunning sunrises & sensational sunsets but the days are filled with skiing, snowboarding, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and tobogganing. With several bus stops with in the village there is no need to get the car out once you arrive, but if you do want first tracks its only 11km up to Hotham, alternatively there is the Dinner Plain ski run for beginners and a wonderful toboggan run.
