Alpine Heights Chalet is a complex of apartments ranging from chalet rooms, 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments. All of the apartments have their own ensuites and the 1,2 & 3 bedroom apartments have full kitchen facilities in the rooms. With fantastic views these apartments are very popular with groups & families. Did I mention the heated indoor pool? Great to relax those weary muscles at the end of a long day on the slopes @ Mt Hotham.
Alpine Heights offers oversnow service for their guests luggage from the end of the main day carpark, Mt Hotham. There is also an inhouse ski hire shop so if you need to hire your gear or looking to get your ski's waxed or tuned theres no need to leave the building!
With several Hotham restaurants & bars within easy walking distance this property is definitely worth a look!
Mt Hotham is Victoria’s most unique alpine resort as the resort village is located on the top of the mountain and runs along the ridge line for about 2km from start to finish, conveniently the free village bus service means once you arrive to this impressive resort you don’t need your car, arrive, unpack and relax. The Hotham village bus starts before 7am and finishes when the last bar closes in the early hours of the morning (please note this bus only runs during the ski season). There is oversnow assistance for your luggage available for most properties- (there may be a cost associated). Most of the ski runs run down from the road so grab lunch or a coffee at one of the many cafes which have the most spectacular views.
With the Hotham airport (open during winter for domestic flights)20km down the road or jump on a bus from Melbourne with pick-ups from Southern Cross Station or Tullamarine Airport. It’s definitely one of the most accessible resorts . With budget properties through to ski in ski out apartments & chalets there is something to suit everyone. The 2012 ski season starts on Saturday 9th and finishes on Sunday 30th September.
